I think her finace is as wacked out as she is, and I also think that she should be charged for all of the money spent on her search.

I'm just glad there wasn't a false arrest of someone matching the description of her ficticious abductors. And I agree, her fiance is cruising down that river called da-nile.

Actually I believe the mother to be a major factor in the daughter running off. While I agree that the bride bears responsibility in this, especially for the false kidnapping charge and resultant expenditures of money and manpower, I think MOMZILLA is equally guilty.

Her first statement after finding the daughter alive and unharmed was "This wedding will take place"

Cold feet is one thing, but causing all this trouble and all the time and money that was wasted looking for someone who wasnt even in harms way (since she kidnapped herself) seems slightly unforgivable.

Then again, with all the media coverage she's recieved, she will never be able to live this down and will go down as an infamous person and the butt of many many jokes.

Of course, this could also become another stupid reality show. [img]eek.gif[/img]
They could call it, "Who Can Find My Bride".

Each week a bride to be having second thoughts just takes off and there is a nationwide manhunt (I guess that would be woman hunt or person hunt) to find her.
Whoever finds her gets some great prize or gets to marry her [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]
Just think of the fun that could ensue on something like that!

The fact that you all appear to know stuff about the fiance and the mom scares me.

I have no opinion because I do not know more than the bare facts of the story - she went missing, turned up with an initial story of kidnapping followed by an explanation of cold feet.

I think that she should pay for all the expenditures on her "disappearance" - but how do you compensate the good-hearted volunteers who searched for so many hours?

Her (14!) bridesmaids should be able to get back the money they spent on tacky and otherwise useless dresses by selling them on ebay after the media circus that will be the wedding.

But even with all that publicity, nobody bought her that $250 ice bucket or any of her sterling (like the $140 gravy ladle).

No wonder she ran.

Well I never liked Julia Roberts, anyway, so I have no opinion on this movie.
